Week Three – Day 3

through out the study, you should have seen that living radically is opposite of how we in America do live.  So, living radically is opposite of the grain.

Lets look at these stories:

These people are not living the American dream. They are living radical Christian lives.

Now, lets look at this video…

Now, I ask you, if these people are willing to live to the fullest for Christ… why are we not?  Battles are raging on in America but we are sitting back and taking the American lifestyle.  We believe in Christ, but are we willing to sacrafice it all like the people in the second video did?  We are living for us… it’s time to put God and Christ first.  It is time to say: I am not going to live for me, but for Christ.  He is the tree, and we are the branches.

If you are not suffering, then are you really living for Christ?  Or for yourself?  Jesus died not only for our sins so that we may be able to go to heaven… He died for the glory of God.  If you had to do something that great, like even what Abraham was told to do… would you be able to?  Thankfully, we are no longer asked to sacrifice our children… but we are told to go and make disciples.

Matthew 28:19

New International Version (NIV)

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Are we really going out there?  Are we clothing the ones who need clothes?  Are we really doing what Jesus told us to… or are we sitting comfortably in our comfy homes, watching TV and going to church tops twice a week?  I am not stating that you need to go to church to be a radical Christian… far from it but we need to hear the words of God and be educated so that we may go and fufil Matthew 28:19.
